Can I take Berocca
every day?

You can indeed. In fact, if you want results, clinical trials show it’s best to take it daily.

Is Berocca suitable for vegans?

If you’re vegan and looking to fizz with vitamins and minerals, then you’re in luck – Berocca Effervescent is for you. Please don’t take our film-coated tablets, though, since they contain lactose (which is derived from cow’s milk).

RDA? Come again?

RDA stands for Recommended Daily Allowance – meaning the percentage of a vitamin or mineral you need each day. Here’s where it gets confusing. The RDA is the amount recommended each day to stop the average healthy person from having a deficiency. It’s NOT the amount recommended for you to perform at your peak.

Does Berocca contain lactose?

Yes – and no. Yes, if you take one of our film-coated Berocca tablets (which contain 94mg of lactose). So if you’re lactose intolerant (or vegan), go for our effervescent Berocca tablets – they have no lactose in whatsoever.

Does Berocca contain yeast?

Nope – neither the effervescent nor film-coated Berocca tablets contain even a miniscule amount. So that’s good news if you want to avoid yeast.

Is Berocca suitable for children?

If your child is over 12, our answer is a resounding ‘yes’.

Can I use Berocca whilst breastfeeding?

Absolutely. The vitamins and minerals in Berocca are excreted into breast milk, but it’s unlikely your child will experience any harmful effects if you’re taking the recommended dose of one tablet a day. If you have any concerns, please discuss them with your doctor or midwife.

Why is my urine very, very yellow?

That’ll be because Berocca contains vitamin B2 (riboflavin). Like all B vitamins, it’s water soluble so your body takes what it needs and discards the rest. And if your body doesn’t need all that lovely B2? Well, let’s just say that’s what leaves your pee super bright yellow.

Can I take Berocca© Focus 50+ in conjunction with other medication?

It is always best to seek advice from your healthcare professional if you are taking other medication.

What time of the day

You can take Berocca whenever you feel the need for a performance lift. But to keep you feeling tip-top
throughout the day, it’s best to start off with Berocca bright and early each and every morning.

Can I use Berocca during pregnancy?

In a word - yes. Stick to the recommended one tablet a day and there are no indications that the nutrients in Berocca have any adverse effects on pregnancy or on the health of your foetus/newborn child. If you’re pregnant or breast feeding and you’ve got any concerns, please talk to your doctor, midwife or pharmacist. That doesn’t just go for Berocca – it goes for all vitamins taken at this time. You should never take Berocca at the same time as other pregnancy vitamins.

Should I be concerned that Berocca contains levels of vitamins above the RDA?

In a word – no. As mentioned above, the RDA tells you the amount of vitamins and minerals you need to stop deficiency. But what if you’re looking to seriously perform? Well, that’s when you may need more, which is where Berocca comes in. Don’t fret though. All nutrients are below the Upper Safe Levels. These are established levels which tell you (well the clue is in the name really) that you’re happily within the safety zone. What’s more, since all the nutrients in Berocca are water soluble, your body will benefit from what it needs and discard the rest.

Is Berocca suitable for vegetarians?

Absolutely. If you’re a vegetarian, you can rest assured that both effervescent and film-coated Berocca tablets are suitable for you. So knock yourself out (not literally, obviously).

Does Berocca contain gluten?

No. There’s no gluten, barley or rye ingredients in either effervescent or film-coated Berocca tablets. So if you’re gluten intolerant, no worries - you can take Berocca.

Is Berocca suitable for diabetics?

Effervescent Berocca tablets contain sweeteners. The effervescent tablets contain 364 mg d-mannitol, 20mg acesulfame potassium and 25mg aspartame. Film-coated Berocca tablets contain 25mg d-mannitol, 13.44mg polydextrose and 94mg lactose.

Since there’s no sugar in our effervescent Berocca tablets, they’re suitable for diabetics. However, if you have any concerns, please discuss them with your doctor.
